Here is a brief overview of the Pumpkins Show August 8th, 1998 at the Sunrise Musical Theatre in Sunrise. The band arrived on stage about 30 minutes late wearing the usual black outfits. D'arcy however was not wearing her cat ears. But on to the good stuff...

Set list (not perfectly in order...)
all songs were re-arranged in one way or another, some more than others.
To Sheila - electric with percussion
Behold! The Nightmare - no synths, great guitar solo.
Pug
Daphne Descends
Tear
Ava Adore
Once Upon a Time
Through the Eyes of Ruby
Annie Dog
Blank Page
*Some where around here Billy called some couple down from the balcony to sit in the empty seats he'd noticed right up front. And everyone else waited while these two found thier way down. It was a geniunely nice gesture and quite entertaining.
Tonight Tonight (This song was dedicated to the Crowd. It was a killer mix, kinda like an acoustic dance version) *Percussion Solo* INCREDIBLE, This is when my friend Melissa got so excited, she had an asthma attack!)
BWBW
Shame
For Martha

encores:

The City Commissioner for Sunrise Florida came and declared August 8th as "Smashing Pumpkins Day" in Sunrise! than Billy handed him a check for $114, 000.00. Needless to say, the crowd was going nuts.

1979 (another great rockin' version)
Transmission (Joy Division Cover) (20 minute+ "Space Jam")

During the "trip to the mothership" Billy issued a challenge to his percussionists to impress the Miami crowd since they're so well versed in authentic Latin Percussion. So they rose to the challenge and played some Latin percussion and a little bit of "Lets Dance" by David Bowie.

All in all an Incredible show, The best one I've seen since The Siamese Dream Tour. Perhaps, the best show I've ever seen. Much better than the Mellon Collie tour in which Billy felt compelled to stick around and play his guitar until there were about 3 people left in the Miami Arena.

Anyway, the addition of the percussion section was enough to put The Pumpkins sound into a whole new dimension. And remind all Pumpkins fans that this band is capable of doing anything they want musically. Which is good because that's exactly what Billy Corgan plans on doing anyway.
