Attendance: about 1000 people (a man who sold tickets before the show illegally said that his tickets are very expensive because only 1000 people can see them in the Sheperds Bush Empire and many more want to see them, but I don t know if the number is correct); tickets were available for around 60+ Pounds. I was able to get a ticket for 50 pounds. length: about 130 minutes (they started at 9 p.m. and left stage at 11.10 p.m.) support:a band consisting of four members, a woman at the vocals. A guy in the audience said that the name of the band is "Screaming Wheels", but I don t know again if it`s right. They played four or five songs, garbage-like...I didn t like it very much...was nothing special... Selist:

The show was broadcastet by MTV and was part of the MTV FIVE NIGHT STAND, a
series of 5 shows in one week, all in the Shepherds Bush Empire. Apart from the
Pumpkins, Placebo played on Wednesday May 27th and Ash played on Thursday 28th.
The atmosphere in the little old theatre in London was amazing and the Pumpkins
showed again that their shows in London are special (Astoria 94, Brixton 96).
Billy dedicated "Tonight,Tonight" to the people in Northern Ireland, hopeful
that they find peace. A guy in Camden Town, who sold me the bootleg of the show
one day later told me that they dedicated the song to the girl that died at
their Dublin show at the Point in 1996, but I don`t know which one is the
correct interpretation. After the show I met a guy from Australia in
the Underground and he told me that Billy appeared the afternoon before the show
in the Hard Rock Cafe...what a pity...I wasn`t there.
