Going against the idea of doing a quiet concert, not only because the band announced it as being an unplugged gig, but also because the new album is going on that direction, the Smashing Pumpkins offered their portuguese fans a powerfull, electric set.

The concert took place in Aula Magna, a room for 2,000 people which belongs to the Lisbon University. Portugal was included on the tour dates by special demand of the band themselves, because, as Billy Corgan said on an interview, "Portugal has a special kind of feeling. The fans are wild and love every minute of the set. It's the perfect audience to present new songs, because they still react as if they were old hits".

The performance was set to introduce "Adore", which was set to be released on the 2nd June, but the songs appeared with different versions, including the presence of two drummers and a percussionist on stage.
Dressed in black (almost gothic!!), the band started the concert at 22:30h.
The gig was entirely broadcasted live by the radio station Antena 3.

The complete set was :
To Sheila
Tear
Crestfallen
Once upon a time
Ava Adore
Shame
Daphne Descends (with the lyrics changed to "We love you, Portugal")
Let me give the world to you (new song, not included on "Adore")
Perfect
Tonight, Tonight
The tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete
Stumbleine
Bullet with butterfly wings
1979
Thru the eyes of Ruby
For Martha
For the encore, the band chose a very psichadelic version of "Transmission" by Joy Division.

It was a total of 150 minutes of pure rock.
The band said goodbye to Portugal for now, giving "apologies to all the fans in Portugal for doing only a show for 2,000 people. We will be back every single year, no matter what" (Billy Corgan interviewed live in the end of the concert)."
