The concert was pretty much like all the others. I entered the line outside at about 1:00. Not many interesting things happened; I talked to a few other fans. At about 5:15, the band started getting out of the tour bus. Jimmy came out and first, and Billy and Yelena were right behind him. They entered a door in the front of the Metropol that led backstage. I stood behind the steps, so I was about 2 feet away from them when they entered the building. About 5 minutes later, James came went in, and D'Arcy went in a few minutes after that. This really built excitement.

At about 6:02, they started letting us in. I was about 20th in line, so I rushed right to the stage as soon as my friends were in. The place was filled pretty quickly. At about 6:55, the Queens of the Stone Age started playing. In my opinion, they were pretty good, but few people were really thinking about them while they were playing. They finished at 7:25, and the stage was set for the Pumpkins over the next 35 minutes.

At about 8:03, they came on stage through the door on the side. I was in the front row on the right side, so I was right next to the door where they came out. Billy was wearing a black pleated skirt suit and combat boots, James was wearing black clothing with sparkly silver stuff on it, D'Arcy was wearing a cowboy hat, a red shirt with stars on it, blue jeans and a huge belt buckle, and Jimmy was wearing blue shorts and a blue muscle shirt. They then proceeded to walk onto the stage. They broke into I Am One, and the crowd went wild. After I Am One, they played Zero, Pug, and La Dolly Vita, followed by two new songs. The setlist was the same, except for the fact that the first group of news songs was played in a different order. Billy said something like, "Thank you, everyone. This is our new drummer, Fred. Fred, start the next song for us." It was Cash Car Star. Surprisingly, most people were singing along. After they played the rest of the new songs, they played a reworked Ava Adore and a reworked Today, and then went offstage. They came on again 3 or 4 minutes later, and James said "we've been playing a lot of new songs, now we'll play an old one." It was Muzzle, which was fantastic. Then was Soma, and people went crazy. It was great. They went offstage again. I then got my 'Home' sign out of my poctet. I realized that they weren't going to change the setlist, so I made a sign that said 'Home' on it, which was the song they played first on the second encore anyway. When they came back on, Billy looked around. When he saw my 'Home' sign, he nodded his head and laughed a little. It was great. The three songs they played here were, in my opinion, the best new ones. They were very emotional. The rest of the band left the stage for 'If There Is A God", and Billy played it acoustic. He kept the acoustic guitar, and played the next song acoustically with the rest of the band. It was a wonderful song. They went offstage and then came back again, and played Geek USA. Billy stood onstage and tryed to look at as many people as possible. He threw picks out, and then ran out. He saw people wanted more, and grabbed his water bottle, considered throwing it, then decided against it. When James went offstage, he gave a little solute by the side where I was. Then Billy gave his 'Thank you's, said "God bless you all", and left. The concert was great. The only annoying things were the security guard who kept obstructing my view, and the pushing from behind. Afterwards, I bought three shirts and a poster, and left the building.

Another great thing happened outside. I didn't include this previously, but D'Arcy had seemed a slight bit unhappy, or drunk, on stage. She had had trouble walking up the steps to the stage, and kind of staggered about. She had also been carrying an alcoholic beverage around with her. Billy made a comment to her in the middle of Muzzle, away from the mic, and her reply didn't sound too happy. Billy shrugged. Well, continuing with the story, about a half an hour after the concert, D'Arcy was standing by one of the tour buses, on the side facing the street, and talking to fans while signing autographs. She seemed extremely upset with her fellow bandmembers. A few people had pictures taken with her. Some one asked her what it was like to be in the band. She said at times it was great, but now it was *thumbs down/negative-sounding noise*. When I got up to her, I said hello, and she said hello to me. I asked her if she was it was true that she was going to do a solo project, and said I was really hoping she would. She said something like,"probably, at this rate. I'd like to work with some NICE people for once. I can't see myself being with these guys too much longer." That's not an EXACT quote, but it contains her basic message. While she was talking, I gave her my 'Arising' poster to sign. She had been signing things with a black permanent marker. On the head of the man (Billy, if it's supposed to be him; I was never sure), she put a cross/plus sign. It could have been crosshares, I don't know in which context she meant it. I thought she was going to draw a swaztika, but she didn't. Next to the cross, she did a little half-signature. I'll try to scan it in for you guys if I get access to a scanner. She seemed a bit more sober. I told her I'd like to hear what type of music she would make, and that she was a good musician. She said thanks, and I thanked her. Then we said bye, and I walked away. The security guards were trying to get her to go onto the bus, but she was perfectly happy signing autographs. When I drove by 10 minutes later, she was gone. I don't know if she was serious, or just in a drunken rage, but she was extremely upset with the band. It was still great to meet her, though.

All-in-all, the concert was great, and was definitely worth the exorbitant amount of money I paid for the ticket. It was the best one I've been to thus far.
